This product is required to properly align the adaptive cruise control sensor that will be present on the 2005-2011 Cadillac STS and 2006-2009 DTS.
This tool is a fixture that fits securely over the cruise control sensor (DSCC Module), with a laser mounted on center.
The laser will project its beam 25 feet on to a calibrated board or wall in the same direction as the headlights.
This will be the reference point for the position of the sensor, which will then be adjusted to match the pre-marked crosshairs.
Adjustment is similar to headlight aiming.
Instructions are included with the tool for the alignment procedure.
There is a small sliding switch at the base of the laser to turn it on and off. The laser was tested and working normally.
