This is a real nice "tool" from possible the
Turn of the Century (1900).
It is a fold-up portable ruler made of boxwood (wood)
and brass (ends and rotator).
Made in New Britain, CT by Stanley Rule & Level Co.
It is stamped No. 62.
The ruler folds out to 24" long.
This is how it opens:
First the two planks pivot on the central rotator
making the ruler 12" in length.
Then they unfold to reach the full 24".
In super nice condition for age.
Numbers and lines are legible;
some are more faint than others.
A very cool ruler.
