This batch of charms does not latch closed The surface of the egg is not perfectly smooth. It has waves and areas of extra silver and it does not clasp shut. The are silver overages and creases or lines on the surface of the silver. This batch of charms from the manufacturer was not as high quality as in the past so they are discounted by 25% off regular price of $34.99. I have taken several photos to try and capture the surface of the egg.
