The Baltic region is home to the largest known deposit of Amber, called Baltic amber. Baltic amber is natural fossil resin produced by pine trees, which grew in Northern
Europe - from southern regions of the present day Scandinavia and nearby regions
of the bed of the Baltic Sea.
Our amber chips from 7mm to 10mm are considered medium chips. You will randomly receive one strand that largest beads may range from 7mm to 10mm.
Gintaras (Lithuanian for amber) comes from "ginte" (meaning to protect).
Amber is said to cure all manner of ailments from arthritis to epilepsy,
impotence, Black Death, goitres and sore throats. Wear amber close to your skin
to ward off evil spirits and protect from drowning.
Luscious warm amber chips will make a great addition to your bead
collection. Amber is lightweight, translucent fossil resin, which makes
it an excellent choice for creating earrings, bracelets, and necklaces.
Mix the varying shades together
for a striking and dramatic look. These beautiful glistening gold gem chips are
versatile jewelry components and are great for multi-strand jewelry.
Combine with Turquoise beads to make outstanding, contrasting designs.
