An exceptionally well-preserved Timex Expedition Adventure Traveler T47612, featuring one of Timex's most imaginative dual-time watch designs.
Rather than simply placing two dials side by side, Timex created an artfully sculpted, asymmetrical case that brings two individual timekeepers together in a remarkably cohesive design. Its flowing contours, distinctive profile, and beautifully brushed plated-brass surfaces give this unusual watch a personality all its own.
The attractive gray upper dial features raised silver-tone Arabic numerals, subtle green luminous hour markers, a date window at 3 o'clock, and its own seconds hand. The smaller lower dial provides a second time display, complete with Arabic numerals, green luminous accents, and a detailed perimeter scale.
The sculpted case is complemented by an exceptionally attractive Expedition-branded dark leather strap, featuring supple leather, contrasting beige stitching, and thoughtful detailing. The quality and appearance of this strap are particularly impressive.
Timex paid considerable attention to branding throughout this model, with Timex, Expedition, and the distinctive Expedition “E” emblem appearing across the watch's design.
