Up for auction is an AMAZING Antique 1916 Iowa Plat Map Book Atlas UNION COUNTY Iowa IA Hand Colored Maps Hardcover! This GIANT antique hardcover plat book/atlas measures 18" x 15.5" and was published by George A. Ogle & Company out of Chicago, Illinois in 1916! The is quite a bit of rubbing along the bottom edge of the front board, as may be seen in the photos!
The condition of the inside of this book is acceptable; there is a 5" x 5" lower left corner of the title page that is missing, and many of the internal map pages have tape that was placed years ago, or minor pencil markings. Additionally, the right edge of the paper on many of earlier maps has damage, as it appears this book wasn't opened correctly for quite a few years! Overall, still a very rare and hard-to-find early 20th century plat book from Iowa that contains dozens of hand-colored maps, a patron's directory, reference directory, and much more! Please see photos!
