Very Hard to Find Antique Fabric Yardage. 1940s Deadstock & Un-used, this is a Heavy Damask patterned with a Baroque Victorian Revival "Palmette" Pattern with Greek Key & Intertwining Scrolls. The Blue has a Sheen or shimmer to the color, which is no doubt due to the Silk (Or possibly Rayon) in the Cotton Weave. You can see from the photos of the ends this heavy thread as well as the very fine thin blue strands. This is a Heavy-Gauge weave, ideal for Upholstery or heavy draperies. Measures 54 1/2" wide (which excludes the 1/2" selvedge on one side of the fabric, 22 Feet, 5" long (7.33 yards) which excludes the area where there is a cut at one end (see photo). This area which was cut measures 4 feet long, 34 1/2" wide (also excludes the 1/2" selvedge). I didn't include the small amount of excess in that measurement. If you've tried to shop for home goods fabrics lately, you know how pricey any quality yard goods are, and they are incomparable to this quality of fabric. Reversible, No fade, No stains or spots, Premium Condition.
