Why collect the original Xbox versions?
While the PlayStation 2 releases are classics in their own right, the original Xbox versions offer several technical advantages that make them particularly interesting to enthusiasts of Microsoft's first console.
- Improved visual presentation: Generally sharper textures, better texture filtering and enhanced graphical detail compared with the PS2 versions. - Enhanced image quality: The Xbox hardware offers a cleaner overall presentation, especially noticeable on suitable displays. - Original Xbox technical showcase: Both titles demonstrate the capabilities of Microsoft's first-generation console during the height of the sixth-generation gaming era. - Classic Rockstar experience: The same unforgettable worlds, missions, radio stations and soundtracks that made these games cultural milestones.
For collectors who appreciate the technical differences between contemporary console releases, the Xbox Double Pack is an excellent alternative to the more widely recognised PS2 editions.
