Up for sale is a beautiful and highly collectible mid-century Relpo Lady Head Vase, Model #K1175, manufactured in Japan during the 1950s. This elegant bust features a blonde lady in a soft teal-green ruffled dress, wearing a matching wide-brimmed hat accented by a crisp green-and-white checkered side bow. Her classic pose showcase both hands tucked delicately beneath her chin, complete with neatly painted red fingernails. Excellent vintage condition. There are absolutely no chips, cracks, breaks, or repairs to the ceramic body or delicate ruffles. The cold paint details (red lips, fingernails, and eyes) remain bright and crisp. She retains her original double-strand faux pearl necklace. Please note that while both metal earring posts are present, the tiny faux pearl dangle on her left ear is missing (see last picture for details). This is a very common issue for these vintage vases and can be easily restored if you have a replacement vintage pearl drop. This stunning glamorous planter makes a wonderful addition to any mid-century modern decor or serious lady head vase collection. It has been safely kept in a smoke-free home. She measures approximately 7 3/4" tall x 5 1/4" x 3 3/8" at the base.
