Glorious GMMK 3 PRO 75% (UK ISO): Tuned Custom Build

Custom build on the GMMK 3 PRO 75% barebones (wired, black, UK ISO). The board has been opened up and tuned to remove the ping and hollow sound that stock aluminium cases tend to have. The result is a deeper, muted sound with a clean, slightly poppy bottom-out. It is ready to use out of the box, with no further modding needed.

The Build

• Base: Glorious GMMK 3 PRO 75% barebones. CNC-machined aluminium case, hot-swap PCB (takes 3-pin and 5-pin MX-style switches).
• Case feel: The solid aluminium chassis gives the board real weight and rigidity. It sits firmly on the desk without sliding or flexing, and it feels like a premium, enthusiast-grade build rather than a typical plastic keyboard.
• Weight: approx. 1.9 kg fully built.
• Switches: Gateron Milky Yellow Pro (linear, factory lubricated). Smooth, consistent travel with a lower-pitched sound than most linears.
• Keycaps: Glorious Thick PBT. The thicker walls help lower the pitch and suit the tuning below.

Tuning Work

• PCB tape mod: Tape applied to the back of the PCB to cut high-frequency clack and bring the switch sound forward.
• Case foam: Internal cavities filled with foam to absorb resonance and case ping.
• Gasket adjustment: Some of the modular gaskets removed to increase flex and soften the bottom-out. Spare gasket pads are included if you prefer a firmer feel.

Performance and Software (Glorious CORE)

• Polling rate: up to 1,000Hz wired (reports every 1ms), adjustable in Glorious CORE (125Hz to 1,000Hz).
• Input latency: adjustable in Glorious CORE.
• Three onboard profiles, so your settings stay on the keyboard and work on any computer.
• Key remapping, layers, macros and knob functions, all set in CORE.
• RGB lighting: per-key, sidelights and badge. The LEDs are north-facing, and the Milky switch housings diffuse the light heavily, so the effect is soft and subdued rather than bright.

Condition

Built and tuned as a personal project, sound-tested, and has had almost no use. Excellent cosmetic and working condition.
