The Stanford Research
Systems SR560 is a high-performance, low-noise voltage preamplifier designed
for conditioning weak electrical signals from DC up to 1 MHz. Power cord and operating manual are included.
Key
Specifications & Features
- Bandwidth: DC to 1 MHz
- Input Noise: <4 nV/√Hz at
1 kHz
- Gain: Selectable from 1 to 50,000 in a
1-2-5 sequence with a 0.5% vernier/percentage adjustment
- Inputs: Differential and single-ended
inputs with 100 MΩ impedance (25 pF), protected up to 40–100 VDC, using
fully floating BNC connectors to prevent ground loops
- Outputs: 50 Ω and 600 Ω BNC outputs
capable of driving up to 10 Vpp, plus rear-panel ± 12 VDC power supply
outputs (200 mA)
- Filters: Two first-order RC filters
(high-pass, low-pass, or band-pass) with cutoffs settable from 0.03 Hz to
1 MHz
- Gain Allocation Modes:
- Low Noise mode places gain before the filters to maximize signal-to-noise
ratio.
- High Dynamic Reserve mode places gain after the filters to prevent signal overloading.
- Power Supply: Operates on
standard AC line power or built-in rechargeable sealed lead-acid batteries
(providing up to 15 hours of operation) Note: The internal batteries in this unit need to be replaced if battery operation is desired. Replacements are available from SRS or from electronics distributors.
- Control & Noise Reduction: Features an opto-isolated RS-232 interface and a sleep-mode
microprocessor that shuts down its clock oscillator during normal
operation to eliminate digital noise. A TTL blanking input is also
available to zero the gain externally.
