Description

On offer is my OM Digital Systems OM-3

Camera has been very modestly used. Mainly photographed the birds on tours of several parks on my leisurely ( I'm 80 years old ) walks and a weekend at the Jersey shore ! This one was to be the " back-up and travel " camera to my principal birding outfit, the OM-1 mk II. But I'm thinking, at my age, do I really need this extraordinarily excellent / mint condition OM-3...and actually fully tested... by me !!

It is really a gorgeous camera... and I bought it for that reason... and the fact that its capabilities matched all the IMPORTANT features of the OM-1mkII... especially to photograph the wildlife I hoped to see on my walks !!! .

Check out the bird photos I managed to shoot with the OM-3 and the new OM Systems m.Zuiko Digital ED 50-200mm f2.8 IS Pro on my walks !

By eBay rules, this is a " used " item that I bought new from OM Digital Systems ... don't ask, just " had to " !! Old habits die hard ( GAS ) ! But I guess, GAS not withstanding, do I really NEED this OM-3, not to mention my Sony and the OM-1mkII... et.al. !!!

I've been a photographer for over 65 years... mostly travel and for a while sports, and now... BIRD photography. Olympus / OM System has been my leisurely " travel companion "... well, along with my wife of course, for quite a few years now !! Having more than two cameras , since my wife doesn't like to use anything but her iPhone these days, makes even the OM-3 somewhat superfluous ??!!

I won't bother to list the hundreds of technical details as they are to be found on a thousand webpages & youtube, and if you are looking, you already know this camera and its capabilities. All you really want to know is... what it looks like, if it functions flawlessly, and of course... how much!

Everythinbg is in flawless & " minty " condition !!!

Please peruse the photos above to discern optical and cosmetic condition for yourself.

Auction includes complete OM System packaging ( boxes ), wires, brochures, whatever came with the camera from OM Systems. Also, the LCD has had a " NON-GLARE " screen protector on it since coming out of the " BOX " !!

Also included... an EXTRA BLX-1 battery ... and the SmallRig Handgrip !

Thanks for looking and Have a Great Day and and a wonderful Autumn 2026 !!!!
