Compatibility

The Canon Extender EF 1.4x is designed for selected compatible Canon EF telephoto and super-telephoto lenses. It is not universally compatible with all Canon EF lenses because of the extender's physical and optical design.

When used with a compatible lens, focal length is increased by 1.4x while the maximum aperture is reduced by one stop. Autofocus availability and performance can vary depending on the particular lens and camera combination.

Please check compatibility with your specific Canon lens and camera before purchasing. This listing is for the original first-generation Canon Extender EF 1.4x, not the later EF 1.4x II, EF 1.4x III or RF 1.4x models.
