It is the sole responsibility for the buyer to request protection for their purchase.
If the buyer does not request protection, the buyer understands and agrees that:
Once custody of an item/items is mailed and custody of the item or items is thus handed over to the United States Post Office, the sender no longer has any control whatsoever over the item that they (the sender/seller mailed).
It is the sole responsibility of the United States Post Office to not damage as well as to carefully handle and deliver the item or items within the United States Post Office’s custody.
The seller is not liable and cannot be held liable by the buyer, by Pay Pal or by eBay for any refunds, returns, damage, loss, etc. once the seller mails item (s) within the United States Post Office.
When an instance such as damage occurs or no delivery (lost item) occurs while an item or items are in the custody of the United States Post Office, the United States Post Office is the entity to file a claim against – Not the sender/mailer/seller.
