Original vintage circa 1940s Quaker Malted Corn Flakes cereal box, featuring colourful period advertising with the familiar Quaker figure, large corn cob illustration and 'Off-the-Cob' slogan. Produced for the British market by Quaker Oats Limited of Southall, Middlesex, the carton has been opened, emptied and carefully retained in flattened form, with attractive printed advertising on both sides. A lovely piece of vintage British grocery and breakfast cereal packaging, ideal for collectors of advertising, food packaging and kitchen memorabilia, or for use as a period prop or display piece. Good condition for its age, with some discolouration, marks, wear and traces of the original adhesive consistent with use and storage, as shown in the photographs.
