Antique handheld magnifying glass with an ornate repousse handle featuring a cherub face and scrolling floral work. The metal collar next to the lens is stamped with what looks like "B & L"; the stamp is worn and partly unreadable, so I am not naming a maker. No hallmark was found on the handle, so the handle metal is not verified as sterling or any other material.
Used, sold as is. Tarnish and age wear on the handle and collar, dull spots on the lens surface and dust between the glass and rim. The handle is dark and detailed, with some rust-colored residue at the neck where it meets the collar. About 7 inches overall per the tape measure in the photos. Please look closely at all photos.
