Riddim history

Produced by Jamaican hitmaker Dave Kelly, the Time Poison riddim belongs to the golden era of 1990s dancehall. Kelly became renowned for his distinctive, infectious digital productions, helping shape the sound of the decade through his work with the Madhouse label and a succession of influential riddims.

The Time Poison selection brings together three Shocking Vibes releases from artists who made their mark on 1990s Jamaican dancehall. Wayne Wonder's smooth vocals, Beenie Man's energetic delivery and Major Christie's melodic style offer three different takes on the same backing track.
