For sale is a 14” f/5 Wollensak Petzval Portrait lens in barrel.
This is a rare early example of Wollensak’s Series A Petzval lens, later renamed the Vesta. Likely manufactured in 1906 based on the deep lens hood and lack of engraving around the front ring.
This example was sent back to the Wollensak factory in the late 1940’s and custom remounted into a (at the time) brand new #10 lens barrel.
Glass has light cleaning marks; minuscule chip on extreme periphery of rear element.
Professionally serviced iris diaphragm with 25 leaves works smoothly. No flange.
