The volume is a bit touchy. Tapping it or moving it back and forth help to get the volume you want. There is surface rust on the spring for the battery terminal, but it should be easy to scrape enough off to get a contact if you use batteries. It does have plug-in electric power. The light for the dail stays on unless you press the light button. I thought it would be a toggle, but maybe that is not working, because holding the button in turns the lights off, but once you release the button, the lights come back on. I do not think that is a big issue. I was surprised the lights still work. I was able to tune into both AM & FM for testing.

I generally do not take items to the post office on the weekends. Generally, the items would just sit there until Monday anyway, and I have found the Postal service loses packages they hold over the weekend at an unacceptably high rate.

Also, as a policy, eBay does not count weekends or Holidays as business days.
