Little guy PEE DEE PENTAGONAL arrow point that measures 15/16" long by 11/16" wide.  Pee Dee points are from the Woodland period dating in the 1,500 to 1,000 BP range.  These were used for hunting game with the bow and arrow and for warfare.  Also, as a cutting tool.  Material is a semi-translucent chert - possibly Ridge and Valley chert.  Found in Virginia, no county was recorded.  This is a fine, resharpened down little guy that looks still deadly.  Great form, needle tip.  If you have any questions, please feel free to email me.

This point was from the collection of Sonny Walls.  It was acquired by Scott Swanger of Shelby, Ohio in the mid 1990's who papered it with Greg Perino.  He later consigned part of his collection (with this point) to John Byrd of Piedmont, SC.  I bought it from Mr. Byrd in 1999, and it has been in my collection since.  It is a fine 100% Authentic example of a neat point, and it will come with Greg's COA and my artifact sheet.  Buy only real, authentic artifacts!
