Ballads for Broadbrows is a collection of humorous poetry and light verse written by British author and humorist A. P. Herbert (1890-1971)(Sir Alan Patrick Herbert). Light verse, comic poetry, social satire. Pokes fun at British social manners, interwar life, everyday absurdities, and the quirks of the legal system. Accessible yet witty, affectionately mocking the middle-to-upper-middle-class "broadbrow" perspective (sitting comfortably between lowbrow and highbrow).
