Here we have a large and heavy Antique Vintage Mantel Clock with Mechanical Movement ,made in Germany in the early 20th Century.
Beautiful antique 1920s British-market mantel clock featuring a striking oak case accented with classic Jacobean-style barley-twist columns. The dial is retailing-stamped by J. Purser Ltd of Portsmouth and houses a high-grade mechanical movement precision-engineered in Germany, stamped with the technical markings 16 121038. It is a premium dual-chime model capable of playing both the traditional Westminster melody and the lively Whittington chime. At the 9 hours mark it has a lever to switch between the two chiming sequences and at the 12 hours mark another lever to silence the mechanism.
Complete with its original winding key and pendulum bob, this clock is running and and works as it should .
It makes a stunning decorative statement. A beautiful, ready-to-display addition for any collector of vintage horology.

In overall good aesthetic conditions commensurate with age. Marks and scuffs here and there,a chip on the case as in last photo. No Woodworms.
