Kaweco makes history The history of Kaweco goes back to 1883. Over time there have been many different systems for filling a fountain pen. While ink cartridges are the most popular these days, the piston mechanism can be used to draw the ink directly from the glass into the integrated ink chamber of the fountain pen. This is how our Sport Piston Filler makes ink cartridges obsolete. Sophisticatedly compact The Kaweco Sport piston filler is the smallest of its kind due to the sophisticated and compact mechanics in the ratio of pen size to ink filling volume. The iconic pocket fountain pen is only 10.5 cm when closed and grows to a normal size of 13 cm with the cap on. The small size makes it ideal for traveling and ensures a long and pleasant writing experience. The fountain pen is available with a gold-plated steel nib in our five nib sizes from extra fine (EF) to extra wide (BB). The 190 spring unit can also be easily replaced later. In the elegant round box in the classic Kaweco design, the Kaweco Piston Sport AL Bordeaux is an ideal gift for the holidays. After purchasing, simply indicate the desired spring strength.
