Here we have two New Jersey Bell Telephone Directories published in 1958 and 1977 for Hackettstown and Washington.  They also include Belvidere, Blairstown, Columbia, Great Meadows, Hampton, Hope, Long Valley and Oxford. 

     They soft covers.  The 1958 directory contains 144 pages and the 1977 has 384.  This demonstrates the population and business growth over the years.  The books are in very good condition for their age.  Slight cover wear and wrinkling.  Pages are yellowed from age but are tight and no rips or missing pages were observed.  NOTE: The hole in the upper left corner of the 1958 book is original.  Phone books of that era had that hole for suspension or hanging.

     Good historic reference pieces with nicely illustrated yellow pages  adverting.
