Accuphase's ultimate MC head amplifier – pure Class A, cascode push-pull, fully symmetrical dual-mono power supply.
The C-17 was Accuphase's answer to the MC cartridge boom of the early 1980s – a dedicated head amplifier built with pure Class A cascode push-pull circuitry and fully independent left/right power supplies. This example is a confirmed, fully working unit: none of the common issues some C-17s develop, such as the front-panel “Accuphase” logo failing to light or unstable relay-based gain/impedance switching. It does show some dirt and light wear from use, which is reflected honestly here.
Fully working, with some dirt and light scuffing from use. No issues with the front logo lighting or with gain/impedance switching, which can be a weak point on this model. Every photo shows the actual unit.
Q. Does it work properly?
A. Yes, confirmed fully working – the front logo lights correctly and gain/impedance switching operates cleanly, without the instability some units of this model show.
Q. How big and heavy is it?
A. Approx. 20cm wide, 15cm high, 40cm deep, and about 8kg – much larger and heavier than a typical step-up transformer or head amp.
Q. What does it do?
A. It's a dedicated MC cartridge head amplifier with gain switching (32dB/26dB) and load impedance switching (10/30/100Ω).
Q. Can you ship to my country?
A. We ship worldwide by FedEx. If you are in a remote area, please message us before purchase.
Q. What about import duties?
A. Import duties, taxes and customs charges are not included in the price and are paid by the buyer. Please check with your local customs office.
