How Our Mail-In Service Works
1. Contact us through eBay messages. Describe your Steam Deck's symptoms and any previous repair attempts.
2. Purchase this diagnostic service. We will provide instructions for sending your device to our Dayton, Ohio repair bench.
3. Ship your Steam Deck securely. Please remove your microSD card and unnecessary accessories. Include a note identifying your eBay order and describing the problem. Inbound shipping is the customer's responsibility.
4. We diagnose the problem. We will inspect the device and identify faults where possible.
5. You approve the next step. If a repair is feasible, we will provide a written estimate through eBay before proceeding with any additional paid work.
6. Your device is returned. Whether repaired or unrepaired, your original device will be returned using tracked shipping.
Important Information
- A successful repair cannot be guaranteed. - Some motherboards have multiple faults, damaged traces, failed processors, or previous repair damage that may make repair impractical. - The diagnostic fee covers inspection and troubleshooting and is not dependent on a successful repair. - No additional paid repairs will be performed without authorization. - If the motherboard cannot be repaired or the customer declines the estimate, the device will be returned unrepaired. - Customer data preservation cannot be guaranteed. Back up accessible data before shipping. - Initial diagnostics are generally targeted within 5–7 business days after receipt. Additional repair time depends on parts availability and fault complexity. - Shipping charges and arrangements will be confirmed before the device is sent.
