BAFANG CAN Bus Speed Sensor Kit – BBS01B BBS02B BBSHD

Replacement speed sensor kit designed for compatible BAFANG mid-drive electric bike motors using the CAN Bus system.

The sensor detects wheel rotation using a spoke-mounted magnet, allowing the motor controller and display to receive speed information.

Important: Not suitable for all BAFANG motors. Please check that your existing motor system uses the matching blue 4-pin CAN Bus speed sensor connection. Not intended as a direct replacement for UART speed sensors.

• 1 x BAFANG speed sensor with cable and connector
• 1 x Sensor mounting bracket
• 1 x Spoke-mounted magnet
• Mounting screws and cable ties as pictured

Installation

1. Attach the speed sensor mounting bracket securely to the bicycle frame.
2. Fit the magnet to a wheel spoke.
3. Align the magnet with the sensor detection area, following the correct clearance specified for the sensor.
4. Route and secure the cable away from moving parts.
5. Connect to the matching BAFANG CAN Bus connector and test the speed reading.

Speed Sensor Faults

A faulty or incorrectly aligned speed sensor may cause a missing speed reading or Error 21 on compatible BAFANG displays. Check magnet alignment, wiring and connector condition before replacing the sensor.
