Overview
The Sonnar C 250mm f/5.6 covers telephoto and wildlife reach on the 6x6 format, equivalent to roughly 140mm on 35mm. The compact Sonnar formula keeps weight manageable.
Sharpness is very good center-to-corner stopped down, though at f/5.6 wide open the edges soften slightly. The minimum aperture of f/45 allows depth-of-field control for studio still life work. A classic V-system telephoto that remained competitive through the CF era. It remained a competitive telephoto option well into the CF era, and photographers who prioritize value over the latest coatings continue to choose well-preserved C-series copies over their CF successors.

Compatibility
Compatible with all Hasselblad V-system cameras. C-series lenses use a Synchro-Compur shutter and require the body in 'C' or 'B' sync mode. Works on 500/503 series, EL/ELX series, and SWC. Not recommended for 200-series AE operation.

- Virtually no dust inside.
Functions
- Aperture ring is snappy: click, click, click!
- The focus ring turns smoothly with good damping.
- Tested on a Hasselblad camera body.
- Aperture Lamellae have some friction marks, but move smoothly.
