Vintage USSR Firebird Metal Wall Plaque Folk Art USSR Fairy Tale Decor Mythology
A striking vintage Soviet decorative wall plaque inspired by the famous folk tale “Ivan Tsarevich and the Firebird.” The composition shows Ivan reaching for the magical Firebird, stylized like a fantasy peacock, with bold ornamental lines and a strong ethnic folk-art character.
This piece was likely made in the USSR during the 1970s–1980s and reflects the decorative Soviet modernist style often used in folk-themed interior art. The plaque has a cast metal construction with a dark bronze-tone finish, giving it the appearance of old patinated metal.
The design combines fairy-tale symbolism, Slavic folklore, and decorative relief work, making it a beautiful collectible for lovers of Soviet art, vintage wall decor, mythology, and folk-tale objects.
The plaque can be used as wall decor or as a decorative stand / trivet. There are mounting holes along the bottom edge.
Condition:
Excellent vintage condition, as shown in the photos. Minor signs of age and surface patina are present, which add to its authentic vintage character. Please review all photos carefully, as they are an important part of the description.
