How to Use
-
Measuring the Gap: Slide the tapered edge of the coin tool between the spark plug's center electrode and ground electrode until it fits snugly[cite: 57, 59]. Read the measurement marking where the edge stops[cite: 56, 57].
-
Opening the Gap: Insert the ground electrode into the gap opener notch/hole on the tool's rim and gently pry outwards to increase the gap distance[cite: 56, 57].
-
Closing the Gap: Gently press the ground electrode against a flat, firm surface until the desired measurement is reached.
