Overview
The AF NIKKOR 180mm f/2.8D IF-ED is a popular medium telephoto prime and the most compact 180mm f/2.8 lens Nikon has produced. Its ED glass delivers beautiful background blur and strong low-light capability for capturing distant action, while the internal-focus design keeps the lens length constant and focusing fast even by modern standards.
It became a favorite among photojournalists, astrophotographers, and portrait photographers, prized for performing reliably in low-light situations from sports arenas to concert halls. Compatibility
Nikon AF screw-drive lens. Autofocus requires a body with built-in AF motor (D300s, D700, D3-series, D90, D80, D70, D7xxx, F6, etc.). On D3xxx/D5xxx without motor, functions as manual focus only.
