SPECIALIZED 26-inch Dirt Jump / Street MTB Frame – 2017 Model
This is a SPECIALIZED 26-inch MTB frame designed for dirt jumping and street riding, from the 2017 model year.
I purchased the complete bike in 2018 and used it mainly for practicing manuals and bunny hops.
I rode it frequently until around the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, due to a busy schedule, I disassembled the bike and stored the frame in a closet for approximately the past five years.
Frame
Bottom bracket (BB)
Multi-speed conversion dropout/end (for parts / as-is)
The frame has various scratches, dirt, and areas of chipped paint from normal use.
There is some fading of the original paint/color.
No dents.
The BB has some roughness when turned and is recommended to be replaced.
The multi-speed conversion dropout had some compatibility issues with the rear derailleur I used, so a very small amount of material was removed where it contacted the B-tension screw.
One of the slide-end fixing bolts is slightly stripped. If you plan to make frequent adjustments, replacing the bolt with a suitable hardware-store screw/bolt is recommended.
I did not use the bike for high drops or 360-degree tricks, so I believe it has experienced relatively little metal fatigue.
There is no major damage from crashes or falls. Despite the cosmetic wear, the frame is still fully usable for riding.
