This is a lot of four postcards. The first postcard features a view of Bridgetown, Nova Scotia, circa 1904, produced by Valentine & Sons. It depicts a river scene with a metal truss bridge, framed by trees. The postcard has a divided back and notes distribution within Canada. The second postcard is a Valentine's Day themed card, likely from around 1911, with a stylized envelope adorned with forget-me-nots, pink blossoms, and a gold key. Red hearts are present in opposite corners, and the greeting "To my Sweetheart." is integrated into the design.
The third postcard, from the 1930s, showcases the interior of the Henry VII Chapel in Westminster Abbey, highlighting its fan vaulting. Published as part of the Valentine's Series, it includes the inscription "BRITISH MANUFACTURE" and the code "B.4." The reverse side shows foxing and staining, and the message area is blank. The fourth postcard, also from the 1930s, is a chromolithograph depicting the Concord, Massachusetts home of Ralph Waldo Emerson, produced by the Valentine-Souvenir Co. It includes an oval portrait of Emerson and a verse by him. The reverse features the Valentine-Souvenir Co.’s green logo.
