(05357) Natural Bioactive Botanicals – 9 Casuarina Cones, 5 Catappa Leaves, and 2 Almond Bark – Functional Aquarium Decor for Betta Fish, Hermit Crab, Shrimp Tanks & Blackwater Aquariums
- Create a Beautiful, Natural Aquarium - Elevate your aquarium decor with the Bioactive Botanicals Kit, which includes 9 Casuarina cones, 5 Indian Almond leaves, and 2 pieces of Indian Almond Bark. These natural botanicals add texture and visual interest while helping create an environment inspired by the natural habitats of tropical fish. Perfect for Betta fish tanks, shrimp tanks, blackwater aquariums, and freshwater aquascapes.
- Support Natural Water Conditions - Casuarina cones and Indian Almond leaves slowly release tannins into your aquarium, helping to lower pH levels and reduce water hardness. These natural compounds create a beautiful blackwater effect while adding depth and character to your aquarium. This botanical combination is ideal for species such as Betta fish, shrimp, and Apistogramma cichlids that thrive in slightly acidic water conditions.
- Enhance Fish Behavior & Aquarium Environment - Casuarina cones and Indian Almond Bark provide natural hiding spots and shelter for smaller fish, shrimp, snails, and other invertebrates. Their textured surfaces can encourage the development of biofilm, creating a natural grazing area for shrimp, catfish, and other bottom-dwelling aquarium inhabitants. These botanicals help create a more natural-looking environment while supporting natural behaviors.
- Natural Materials & Easy to Use - Made from 100% natural botanical materials selected for aquarium and terrarium environments. Before adding them to your aquarium, boil the botanicals for 30–60 minutes to help remove excess tannins and prepare them for use. Allow the botanicals to cool before introducing them to your tank.
- Versatile & Beautiful Décor - Whether you're setting up a blackwater biotope, enhancing a Betta fish tank, creating a shrimp aquarium, or adding natural elements to an aquascape, these botanicals offer both decorative and functional benefits. They're also suitable for hermit crab enclosures, leaf litter applications, and other naturalistic habitat displays.
