PLEASE READ: there’s probably a piece missing - because the hands have a cutout in one hand and a drilled hole in the other hand which was probably to hold something. Unknown what may have been there. Soft fur unknown if it’s real or faux. Some wear. A scratch on back with some missing finish. The hat decoration may have something broken off. From an estate sale curio cabinet display. Age is probably 1980-90’s. Please view pictures. No box, no paperwork

Amazing figurine.

A vintage German incense smoker/ burner (known traditionally as a Räuchermännchen) produced by Straco.

8.5 inches tall, 3.5 in wide and long

Weighs 8 oz

A woodsman with spectacles, two green wooden flask bottles, a pipe and hunched back intricately handcrafted from turned wood in the classic Erzgebirge folk art style.

The torso separates from the legs so you can place a lit incense cone inside. The aromatic smoke then drifts out dynamically through his mouth by his carved wooden tobacco pipe.
