Hat is not that large, but the size is a bit flexible as it just depends how low you wear it - for me the bottom sits just below the top of my ears, but it is probably meant to be worn slightly lower
On the other hand I did wonder if maybe it could be meant to be worn with the bottom turned up, but in that case the band / feather would be covered
Unsure what this is made of - I plucked a few fibres and burned them and it smelled of burnt hair so definitely some kind of wool or fur
