with a lid surmounted by the figure of a dancer and decorated with the characteristic radial tutu motif.

Model created by René Lalique in 1921, inspired by the world of Edgar Degas’ ballerinas.

The present example bears the “Lalique” signature on the rim of the lid 

and the marking “Rene Lalique France N°66” on the base.
