Interesting piece.

The logo on front is attributed to a Catholic Bishop.

Says:  Vae mihi nisi evangelizo.

Translation:  Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel.

A substantial piece of vitrified commercial/institutional ware, most likely specially commissioned for a religious, educational or other Catholic institution in North Bay, Ontario. The exact institution represented by the crest has not been positively identified.

Approximately 4 3/8" high.

Made in England by Royal Doulton

Other than a crack on the rim, (please reference close up photo), good vintage condition with expected age-related marks, spotting, staining and general wear from institutional use. Please refer closely to the photographs for condition.
