For sale is an exceptionally well-preserved, antique "The Express English Lever" heavy silver pocket watch, originally retailed by the famous J.G. Graves of Sheffield. Manufactured in 1906, this iconic piece of British horological history comes complete with its winding/setting key and features a solid sterling silver case.
Condition Details:
- Dial & Glass: The white enamel dial and front glass crystal are in excellent condition. There are absolutely no cracks, chips, deep scratches, or marks on the dial or the glass, which is incredibly rare for a watch of this age.
- Movement & Function: The traditional English lever key-wind movement is clean and ticks immediately upon being wound using the included key. Please note that it has not been tested for long-term accuracy over a full 24-hour cycle and is sold as-is regarding exact timekeeping.
- Case: Heavy, solid .925 Sterling Silver case, fully hallmarked for the Chester Assay Office with the date letter "F" for 1906. The case is in excellent cosmetic shape with no deep scratches or dents, retaining its crisp, engine-turned detailing along the outer rim.
