This is a Champion Rodeo Belt Buckle. The rodeo was held in 1969 by the South Dakota Cutting Horse Association and was awarded for the “100 Class”. It is hallmarked on back with “RODEO” in a semi-circle above “STERLING”. It is solid Sterling silver – not plate, “Overlay” or “Sterling Front”. It measures 3 3/4 inches wide and 2 3/4 inches high and weighs in at 79.1g. It fits a 1 ½ inch width belt. It has been left with its original patina – you may clean it if you wish.
