A spectacular Caracall Antoninianus with the Egyptian god Serapis reverse. This is one of the more desirable reverse types for this coin as it depicts an Egyptian god on a roman coin. The coin has a wonderful even gunmetal tone, with fiery red in the devices which is best seen in the video. Light scratches and some porousness.
Purchased from The Leu Web Auction 42 lot 3702.
