The product is a rare vintage railroad rule book from the L&N RR (Louisville & Nashville Railroad) dating back to 1892. This rule book, originating from the United States, provides valuable insight into the operations and guidelines of the railroad industry during that time period. With its unique historical significance and potential connection to a well-known railroad company, now CSX, this item would be a sought-after collectible for enthusiasts and collectors of railroadiana and train memorabilia.
Now that AI is finished, this vintage rule book was recovered from an estate liquidation sale of a L&N RR Bridge & Buildings Superintendent. The book is going to appear old and toasty in some areas but it’s over 100 years old. The Binding is only fair at best and starting to separate in places. It’s so old it appears string stitched and glued together. No pages missing far as I see. Total printed pages 146. However, even though it looks well used on the outside, i still think it is a new old stock book that was kept by the B&B Superintendent for what ever reason. Note: For some reason a small arrow was written in the book in the form of a pointer pointing to the books year of printing date. See photo. No employee ever signed this book indicating it was never issued to someone. So, a B& B Super previously had this little book in his office at home. Probably found it while working on a building for the L&N. Your guess as good as mine! Finally, big foldout is also included in this book. Again, see pic! Selling in as is as found new old stock but aged condition! Enjoy!
