Estate sale find - vintage (mid 70's) Technics SL-1350 direct drive turntable. This model was the world's first direct-drive automatic record changer turntable. In addition, this appears to be a somewhat rare dual-voltage version of the model SL-1350. It can be used as a single play automatic or as a changer capable of playing up to 6 records in succession. Has Shure M55E cartridge with good OEM stylus. Comes with 33rpm stacker spindle, single play 33rpm spindle (not original), and single play 45rpm adapter (not original) - dust cover is not included. Turntable was tested in single play, stacked records play, and 'Memo-Gram' repeat play - everything is working fine with steady speeds and great sound. Excellent cosmetic condition with only very minor wear as shown. This item is guaranteed to be as described but is otherwise sold with no returns. Platter, headshell, and tonearm counterweight will be removed and packed separately for shipping, chassis locking screws will be installed in their 'transport' positions. Multiple shipping options are available - be sure to review them at checkout for the best rate to your location. Signature confirmation will be required at delivery.
Regarding a replacement dust cover - only SL-1350 and SL-1360 dust covers are tall enough to accommodate the stacker spindle. Other models (SL-1300, 1400, 1500 non-MK2 versions) will fit and function as they have the same footprint and hinge style/location but will close only when the stacker spindle is not installed.
