Here is a nice original example of this early postwar Lionel o gauge set. This is set #1453WS, and it includes, 2-6-2 #2025 PRR Steam Loco, 8-wheel #2466WX Lionel Lines Tender, both in black with silver lettering, #2452 PRR Gondola in black, #2454 Baby Ruth PRR Boxcar in orange with brown doors, #2257 SP Caboose in red, and all of the original boxes. All pieces are all original with no touchup or repaint ever. This is a one year only set, 1947. We purchased this set directly from the original owner. The set is in very nice condition. The loco shows a few nicks and scuffs as seen. Both marker lights and jewels are intact. It did not run when tested. The tender shows some light white mold spots coming through, which should clean easily. The whistle did work well when tested. The 3 freight cars are beautiful showing very little wear with all trim intact. The loco box has tape added as seen, with a couple inner flaps missing and tears. The tender box has one end flap loose but included as seen. The 3 freight car boxes are excellent with a couple inner flaps missing. All of the boxes include brick original inserts. These boxes are in much better than usually seen condition! Please examine photos as they are the best description. Nice example of this complete set, no reserve!

There is no mechanical warranty guarantee on any of the motors or locos sold. Any description or comment on a motor operation in the description of an item is provided as a courtesy to our customers, but no returns will be offered in a case of a mechanical issue. In some cases these items are over 100 years old, so bidders should always assume some service could be required.

Shipping: We try to have items packed and shipped within 2 business days of you paying for the item. eBay requires we select a default shipping service, which we use if applicable. HOWEVER, we reserve the right to use another shipping service, as in some cases carriers can be double to triple the rate of others, depending on location and size of package. If you insist on a specific carrier, feel free to message us, and we can use that carrier. Keep in mind, if you are on the west coast or other select locations, prices will be much higher for some carriers, which you will be required to pay if you request that specific carrier. We try to keep our shipping prices as low as possible to reflect the most cost effective carrier price. If there is ever a large discrepancy in shipping cost, we will refund it. Keep in mind that boxes, material, tape, etc. all costs money. We do not profit on shipping, but we certainly cannot afford to lose money on it.
