Here we have a vintage Genuine Oil Painting on Board, made in the second part of the 20st Century.

This is a beautiful quite large vintage oil landscape painting, created as a highly detailed master copy study of Camille Pissarro's impressionist masterpiece, "La Route de Louveciennes" (The Louveciennes Road).

Camille Pissarro (1830–1903) was a pivotal French Impressionist painter, frequently referred to by historians as the "father" or "dean" of the Impressionist movement.

Painted by artist Granville Ballard, the canvas captures the atmospheric winter tones and classic impasto style of the original work. The back of the canvas features a charming handwritten historical inscription by the artist documenting the piece, reading:

" Copied by Granville Ballard 1971 - Original by Camille Pissarro, depicts a road inPontoise, France 1872. or "A Street in LOUVECIENNES" Original in The Louvre - Paris"

(In 1986 the original painting was permanently relocated to the newly opened Musée d'Orsay.)


The painting comes housed in a heavy, ornate gold-tone decorative wooden frame that is in excellent condition and ready to hang.

The artwork has Marks and scuffs here and there as in Photos both on the frame and on the Painting ( see last two photos )
