Item Description

Ibanez SSR635 (no260925)

Ibanez SSR635

A 5-string bass born from a collaboration with Ibanez. It features an ash body with the characteristic SR arch, combined with a 34-inch scale 5-piece neck. Its slim silhouette and the tonal range unique to a 5-string bass make it suitable for a wide range of playing styles.

The neck is a 5-piece construction of maple and rosewood, with a rosewood fingerboard and 24 frets. Equipped with Bartolini MK1 pickups in both the neck and bridge, it allows for aggressive sound shaping with the EQB-IIIS 3-band EQ. A switch allows you to select the mid-center frequency between 250Hz and 600Hz. The Accu-Cast B305 bridge uses a 16.5mm string spacing.

When plugged into an amplifier, you can enjoy a sound that retains attack definition while possessing the thickness and warmth of the Bartolini MK1 pickups. The EQB-IIIS allows for individual adjustment of the low, mid, and high frequencies, providing flexible control from creating a thick sound that utilizes the bass of the 5 string to settings that emphasize definition. It is also suitable for phrases that make the most of the presence of each string.

In addition to the wide tonal range required of a 5-string bass, its comprehensive configuration allows for detailed sound shaping. With a wide playing range thanks to its 24-fret specification, it is a versatile instrument that can be actively used in a variety of situations, including rock and pop.
