Antique STUFFED ANIMAL TOY - PERSONALITY PET by COLLEGIATE - made of felt and stuffed, probably with sawdust (it's rigid, not soft); these were made in the 1940s or 50s for colleges and universities, using a school's colors and initials to make them like a sports team mascot & campus souvenir; measures 6.5x7x2.5 inches, with the original tag.
This is a blue and gold/yellow dog with a ribbon tied around its neck; it originally came with round paper tag that had it's pet name on it (it was like, Hugo or something), and I've lost it (though I know I set it somewhere that was supposed to be smart); when I was searching online I found others from the series but did not see this actual dog; and with only a "F" on it, I'm not sure what school it's supposed to represent (Franklin/Franklin & Marshall?; the "F"ighting Irish of Notre Dame?). If you collect these, this one is definitely hard to find.
CONDITION is EX: the felt and stitching are in great shape, colors are bright, ribbon is a little frayed, smells clean, no holes or spots.
