• An original Armstrong-Siddeley ‘Rocket Sphinx’ hood ornament used on Sapphire-346 model cars from 1953-1958. Casting mark ‘JF’. Original brass nuts. Marble base not included.

• Armstrong-Siddeley manufactured both cars and rocket engines in the 1950s and they were combined into this unique hood ornament for Sapphire model cars.

• The ornament is in excellent condition. It is not bent, broken or repaired. The chrome is still bright & shiny.

• There is some bubbling and light scratches in the chrome and a couple of small pits. Nevertheless, it presents very well - far better than most examples I’ve seen over the years.

• Please look at all the photos closely to determine condition for yourself and ask any questions before bidding or purchase. No returns.
