DESCRIPTION

Overview & Details

A vintage 1920s/1930s Hunts Dual-Range Pocket-Watch Style Voltmeter, manufactured in France.

These compact meters were essential testing tools during the early wireless radio era for checking both Low Tension (LT up to 7V) filament accumulators and High Tension (HT up to 150V) dry batteries.

Dial & Markings: Bright silver-white dial face featuring distinct dual voltage arcs—a red 0–7V scale and a black 0–150V scale. Prominently stamped "HUNTS" inside an oval at top center, with "REGISTERED TRADE MARK" (AH logo) on the left and "MADE IN FRANCE" on the right.

Movement & Casing: Features a central hairspring movement visible beneath a screw-mounted circular bridge. Housed in a nickel-plated pocket watch style body with a bottom contact probe spike, top ring loop, and attached braided fabric flex lead. The front bezel ring holding the glass lens is detachable.

CONDITION

In good vintage cosmetic condition.

The dial face is clean and legible with sharp red and black numerals.

The glass lens is intact within the removable front bezel ring.

The nickel-plated metal body displays natural light surface scuffing and handling scratches on the back cover consistent with age.

The braided cloth flex lead remains attached, showing expected fraying towards the bare wire end.

Sold as an untested collectable display piece.
