This kit includes:

4 × 2uF 250V Supertech MPT J ±5% capacitors

The Type D and Type E crossover networks use a total of four 2uF capacitors for a pair of speakers. Please verify the crossover type inside your speakers before ordering, as other Heresy crossover versions use different capacitor values.

WHY J ±5% TOLERANCE MATTERS

These capacitors are factory-rated J ±5%, providing a tighter specified capacitance range than standard K ±10% capacitors.

For a nominal 2.0uF capacitor:

J ±5%: 1.90uF – 2.10uF
K ±10%: 1.80uF – 2.20uF

The tighter factory tolerance keeps the replacement capacitance specified closer to the intended 2.0uF crossover value.

This kit is specifically intended for original Klipsch Heresy speakers equipped with:

Type D crossover
Type E crossover

This kit is NOT the correct capacitor set for Type AA, Type C, Type E-2, Type HIE, or Heresy II crossovers.

Klipsch Heresy speakers were produced with several different crossover networks, so please open your speakers and verify the crossover type before purchasing. The competitor's current documentation likewise identifies different capacitor requirements for AA, C, D/E, E-2 and HIE versions.
